ENERGY AUDITORS performs Green Verification / Ratings for builders who wish to have their homes certified to a level (Emerald, Gold, Silver or Bronze) under the Green Building Standard or Green Building Guidelines of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
The process requires a review of the design, and at least two onsite inspections to assure that the designed features have been properly provided, the required documentation is provided, and the home performs to a minimum energy usage standard.
A certified Green home will use significantly less energy than one built to current energy standards, and the home will be more comfortable and durable. Some Green homes will have renewable, or Green Energy producing provisions to further enhance the energy efficiency of the home.
Also, the builder of a certified Green home has taken measures to lessen the effects of the building process and the operation of the home on the environment, which reduces the home's carbon footprint and how it affects the area around it.
Builders will receive priority scheduling of reviews and inspections; we understand your need to keep on schedule.
